  • Facilitated the training to protect and preserve mangrove forest, other forest trees rather than cutting them down for fuel wood.

  • ACDE-SL collaborated with other entities and therein developed programmes bordering on waste management, conservation, climate mitigation, adaptation and climate financing

Social

Through the intervention of ACDE-SL awareness in environmental and climate change issues in the communities is gradually increasing. Such awareness is envisaged in farmers being climate resilient in some agricultural practices.

  • One of the key challenges is that the knowledge base on environmental and climate change issues is yet low in the communities we work

  • Weak community laws and enforcement

Some of the sources that could be used to protect the environment such as trees, rivers, forest, land, water catchment etc are largely used for economic activities.
